Why does it take so long to see the meeting minutes published on here? I haven't seen any that were particularly complicated so I don't see why it takes so long for them to be published.

It doesn't when you consider that all the committee members lead full lives and the time they give to the community not only has to fit in with their daily schedules, both at home and at work, but is given freely. Not everyone can give the same amount of time, at the same time on a particular day of the week. Once written the minutes have to be checked, verified and once confirmed, then they are published on the Website. I for one would be very annoyed if the minutes where immediately placed on the Website straight after a meeting and contained blatant errors and inaccuracies. Anyone who does not want to wait for news with regard the Community Association, just come along to the meetings and hear it first hand.

If unable to attend could always ask a friend, relative or neighbour to come along to the meeting and let you know what was said. Something I have done on many occasions in the past and will continue to do when necessary.

Dear Iani, some good news, we had our regular monthly committee meet at the end of last week and the minutes will be posted on the website as soon as our web guy has a spare moment. So, watch this space. We are doing the best we can. I appreciate your comments re working away and finding it hard to get back. Believe it or not we all have similar problems. I often end up bringing my 5-year old son down to the set up for our OGMs as baby-sitters are not always available. Also I quite often finish working with only just enought time to get to the meet. So, I do sympathise with your predicament. Is there a better time for you for meetings that perhaps may suit other people better ? We have tried a Friday one month that was quite well attended ? Let us know. Also if anyone else out there has a view on this tell us ! Keep the comments coming ... Thanks. Chair.
